BOXES and SHOWER WALLS by INDA! Not only BATHROOM ACCESSORIES for Inda!
The INDA company started back in 1944 in Caravate in the province of Varese (HERE its history) is internationally recognised as the undisputed leader in bathroom accessories. Some of its series have become synonymous with bathroom accessories: Hotellerie, Colorella, Raffaella… At the turn of the 2000s, Inda decided to enter the shower enclosure segment as well, and within a few years became one of the top players in the sector. Today the company’s catalogue range of shower enclosures and shower panels is very wide and articulated and you can discover it directly on the website INDA.NET.
In this post we want to talk about the products with which it has managed to establish itself and challenge industry giants such as Novellini. We will look at the PRAIA and TRENDY lines.
Inda shower boxe PRAIA series
An iconic product, thanks to which Inda launched itself into the shower enclosure segment and made itself known to the general public as a manufacturer of shower partitions. Its name is: PRAIA.
The arrival of PRAIA on the market saw the introduction of a number of innovations that would later be adopted by other companies in the industry in the years to come. The first construction element that comes as a surprise is the height of the shower enclosure. We were used to heights of 185 cm, with Praia we go up to a full 195 cm! This is the period when flush-to-floor shower trays began to become popular. Used to the previous 11/12 cm high ceramic ones, had it not been for this aesthetic improvement, the shower enclosures would have seemed excessively small in ‘stature’.
Another novelty: the famous detachable door. On all sliding doors, a pressure hook was introduced that allowed the door to be easily and safely released at the bottom and facilitated cleaning of the glass and the sliding track. Which we know are easily attacked by dirt and limescale and therefore require frequent cleaning.
Inda shower boxe TRENDY series
With this shower box, Inda brings this product type to a leading role in the bathroom environment. Not a simple functional element that prevents water from wetting the bathroom floor, but a furnishing object that participates together with the other elements to give style and customisation in luxurious and modern bathrooms. Its name is: TRENDY.
Let’s take a look at the construction features. As with Praia, here too the height is 195 cm and it has the sliding door quick release system as standard. It is at the aesthetic level, however, that the level rises. The aluminium profiles of this series are very neat and slender, embellished in the joint corners with chrome details that design the style. The company has also given the customer the choice of being able to select from a wide range of opening handles, all large in size and modern in shape. When the shower enclosure has a fixed side, it is also possible to place a towel rail on the glass (see picture opposite).
