Civita Castellana. The ceramic district of marvels. The series of sanitary ware and toilet seats that are winning over the bathroom. (part 3)
Today we will meet other ceramic companies in the Civita Castellana ceramic district. In the post: ”The companies in the Civita Castellana district and their sanitary ware. Looking for toilet seats? Ceramica Hidra Civita Castellana – ONDA Series
It is the company’s largest series. I started producing it in the early 2000s, a period when many ceramic companies began to increase the length of sanitary ware and consequently also toilet seats. In the post: ”BIG sanitaryware, large WCs and bidets modern lines and their covers (part 1)” we saw some Onda competitors: Sanitaryware SCULTURE Hatria, AMICA Series Nero Ceramiche and DIAGONAL Series Ideal Standard. In the post: ”BIG sanitaryware, large WCs and bidets modern lines and their covers (part 2)” we saw: FIDIA series Ceramica Flaminia and OMEGA series Gsi / Facis. Onda is a best-selling series by Hidra Ceramiche. A soft, curved shape. Thanks to this rounded shape, the size of the sanitary fittings is visually lighter. It needs a toilet seat cover that is a good 49 cm long and still narrow for the size of its length, only 35 cm! Long and tapered. You can find it in the store at the following link [ clik here ]
Ceramica Galassia Civita Castellana – ARKE’ series
Ceramica GALASSIA produced in our opinion perhaps the most beautiful round ceramic series ever: Arkè. A cone-shaped element inserted in a parallelepiped with centred proportions. A shape so aesthetically perfect that it doesn’t just look like the object for which it is intended! In the post: “Round toilets and the almost tailor-made round toilet seat replacement!” we have seen how other ceramic companies (many from the Civita Castellana district) have also interpreted this geometric shape: Series WIND Vitruvit, Sanitaryware You&Me Hatria, STARCK 1 Duravit Series, Flow Tonda Ceramica Simas Series , Zelig Dolomite Series and Bowl 50 Ceramica Globo Series. Domus Falerii – MAGICA Series
FALERII sanitaryware, which is ‘magic’ with an old-fashioned retro flavour. An English style from another era, its name is Magica. Faleri is one of the latest companies born in the ceramic district of Civita Castellana. It has already distinguished itself for various very special sanitary ware shapes, but even in this case if we have to decide on a product that best represents the company’s style and mood, we go for sure with this series. The body of the sanitary ware is carved with curves and steps. a unique detail is certainly a rise in the upper surface that makes it unmistakable. In the post: ”Spare parts and replacement of CLASSICO/RETRO style toilet seats‘” we saw it together with sanitary ware and their classic/antique style toilet seats: ANTALIA by Dolomite, MONTEBIANCO by Pozzi Ginori, ALBANO by Vitruvit, LUTEZIA by Ceramica Senesi, PALLADIO by Sbordoni, LONDRA and ARCADE by Simas, RETRO’ by Kerasan and ELLADE by Hidra. A small clarification on the toilet seat cover for this toilet (by the way, a good 39 cm wide). We have decided to offer in the store only the original version in white-coated wood because with this material it is possible to make and give the rear shape with the two fins that recalls the shape of the toilet, something that cannot be done with the plastic one (among other things, perhaps even too modern given the style of the toilet). GSI Ceramica – PANORAMA series
The annals tell us that this company used to be called FACIS and in the ’60s and ’70s produced an incredible series of oddly shaped sanitary ware, all now out of production, and their toilet seats: CADORE, PALACE, GINEVRA, ADDA and OMEGA. Then becomes GSI Ceramica and, especially since 2000, a company among the first to interpret the best Made in Italy design produced in Civita Castellana. Here, choosing the product that best represented the company’s style is not easy. As a time choice we selected: Panorama. A shape that no other ceramic company had previously proposed. The shape of Panorama is an oval interrupted by two projecting 45° fins. Today we have seen other companies from the ceramic district of Civita Castellana that are very important for the entire bathroom furnishing world.
