We have selected a strictly Italian manufacturer who is a master of this workmanship. Its lacquering combined with the skilfully selected MDF interior material make these products long-lasting in any case.

Toilet seat Clodia Ceramica Dolomite
One of Dolomite’s iconic ceramic series. We have talked about it in several posts, including: “Sanitary ware with a stepped inclined plane and their toilet covers” where we emphasised precisely the characteristic of its surface where the toilet seat rests. “The sloping bumpers of these toilet seats (as well as Clodia, Sintesi by Cesame and Astro by EOS) must be positioned with the utmost precision, so that the step goes exactly where it is needed and gives stability and durability to the toilet seat cover.”
This series for Dolomite was designed by ANTONIO BULLO, one of the princes of Made in Italy design and bathroom furniture.
Although the Clodia toilet seat we are talking about is a compatible, it cannot do without the characteristic shaped bumpers that make it stable on the sanitary ware. Here then is another product in the category, which given its shape and the accessories supplied (even the hinges with fixing from above are fitted as standard) would seem more a dedicated than a compatible.

Toilet seat Esedra Ideal Standard
The queen series of building specifications in the early 2000s: Esedra.
It is perhaps the last series produced by the company to have reached the sales volumes of the “five sisters”, and is considered by many industry insiders to be the heir to the specification series par excellence (also by Ideal Standard, [ clik here ]) the TESI series.
It is the first D-shape presented by this ceramic company that was beginning to attract a lot of public interest at that time (we have seen this shape of sanitary ware and their toilet seat covers in the post HERE) Characterised by a large top shelf and clean, modern forms. Initially positioned detached from the rear wall. In recent times, it has been modified and it has become possible to position it against the wall, so it too has become a ceramic series flush with the wall, as the new style trends in bathroom fittings require of a sanitary ware to be considered modern. The toilet seat therefore requires fixing from above (EXPA) in order to be installed.

She is the little sister of the mythical ARETUSA produced by the wonder ceramic company Cesame.
We talked about this company in the post: “Ceramica Cesame and the challenge to the big boys. Are the original toilet seats still available?” Where we saw not only Aretusa, but also Bella Epoque and Erice.
In that very article we described Arethusa in this way: “If we have to choose one series that represents the company, it is certainly her: Arethusa. She represents Cesame style at its best. An important sanitary ware in its measurements and also in its large, soft curves…..”, precisely the important dimensions of this sanitary ware led the ceramic company to propose a series that resembled its shape, but smaller in size. Hence the name ARETUSINA.
