Ceramica Vincenti. An historical company in the Civita Castellana district. We are looking for toilet seat covers for these sanitary ware.
In 1911, Serafino Vincenti, who had founded an industry in Civita Castellana, was awarded three gold medals at the first Roman Ceramics Exhibition and founded ‘Ceramica Vincenti’ with his brother in 1927, dedicated to the production of sanitary ware; this industry ceased operations in 1997. We are talking about one of the historical companies in the ceramic district of Civita Castellana. Together with: FLAMINIA, CATALANO, AZZURRA, GALASSIA, SIMAS, VITRUVIT, GLOBO, KERASAN, ALTHEA and FACIS GSI has generated a brand (Civita Castellana Ceramics) recognised not only nationally, but worldwide. Synonymous with the absolute quality of artefacts from there and masters of shapes admired by many customers.
ANTICA series Vincenti
The ceramic series that best represents the company is Antica. A style also in the name antiqued classic, curves and protrusions proportioned and calibrated so well that it is still a very up-to-date design. Its direct competitors, to understand the stylistic position are certainly: CALLA by Ideal Standard and BELLA EPOQUE by Cesame. Very particular is the shape of the internal hole (which we do not see in this picture) made in the shape of an 8, taken from its original toilet seat that you can find in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik here ]
CURVA series Vincenti
Perhaps the mass-market series of the Civita company. It never reached the sales figures (also due to the company’s production capacity issues) of the series of other ceramic manufacturers, which we have seen in the post: ”Replacing a ’80s/’90s toilet seat cover”: the legendary series TESI by Ideal Standard (we wonder, given the formal similarity between this and the Vincenti series we are talking about, who between Curva and Tesi inspired the other), the revolutionary series SINTESI by Cesame, the best seller CLODIA by Dolomite, the minimalist series LUCE by Catalano and the stylish series FANTASIA by Pozzi Ginori, but the style signature is that of the golden age of bathroom furniture and construction of the ’80s. If you look closely you will find in all of them, including Curva, the style of the period. ELEGANT series Vincenti
A sanitary ware with a certainly rectangular shape, very interesting is the particular narrowing in the back that makes the figure more slender. We are in the ’70s. VERSILIA series Vincenti
It is one of the many ‘brothers’ of the Conca series, remember the post: ”The CONCA WC and toilet seat and its ‘brothers’“? Vincenti too, seeing the success of Ideal Standard’s series, decided to propose a line of rectangular sanitary ware with a rear rise. He called it Versilia. It competed on the market with: series CLIO Ceramica Globo, series DUCCIO Ceramiche Senesi, Sanitaryware POLO Ceramica Catalano and Series ADDA Facis GSI.
