The toilet seat covers for the oldest series.) we have started to look at some ceramic series and their WC covers produced over time, we have seen: Series ZEUS, Series DIANA, Series IRIS, Series JUBILAEUM, Series FULL 48 54 56 and Series NUVOLA.
GIUNONE series Azzurra Ceramiche
The source of inspiration for this series of Azzurra is certainly the well-known MONTEBIANCO by Pozzi Ginori. Series that will soon turn almost a century old. In the post: ”Then comes ‘Montebianco’ Classic/retro sanitary fittings and their toilet seats (part 2)” we have seen how many ceramic series have tried to imitate it: ALBANO Vitruvit, LUTEZIA Senesi, PALLADIO Sbordoni and LONDRA Simas. ELIOS series Azzurra Ceramiche
Together with the series DIANA is part of the company’s ’80s production. A D-shaped sanitary ware, the body of the sanitary ware has a slight forward inclination of a few degrees, making its figure more slender and light. CULT series Azzurra Ceramiche
Let’s take a look at a more recent production series: Cult. Positioned clearly flush with the wall (for other vases of this type we recommend the post: ”The streamlined floor-standing sanitary ware (flush with the wall). Soft, wrap-around shapes. Top-mounted toilet seats are required.(expa)”. The workmanship that makes it very recognisable is the slight step rise that delimits the rear and upper door. ZEN series Azzurra Ceramiche
Round like a circle! We saw in the post: ”Sanitary ware round like a circle. Here you need customised toilet seats!” that, in the bathroom furnishing world, the round figure is very popular and proposed by various ceramic companies. Direct competitors were: Series ARKE’, Series EL1, Series WIND, Sanitaryware YOU&ME and Series STARCK 1. MIDAS series Azzurra Ceramiche
Large series, together with AFRODITE represents the style of that time. It was called Midas. The difference between the two lies in the side work that Midas has on her hips instead of the smooth body of Aphrodite. Both are reminiscent, in our opinion, of the legendary series of Cesame: ARETUSA.
